Spaces are very limited in this workshop due to the small group, hands-on nature, and home kitchen setting. Workshop participants will take away 2 edible gifts that we'll wrap in festive cellophane and paper, with handmade labels we'll get crafty making together!
Treat yourself and spoil your loved ones this festive season with delicious edible gifts. During this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn tricks, tips and recipes from trained pastry chef and owner of Savour Cooking School, Wendy Joyce.
During the 2 1/2-hour workshop, you’ll make two edible goodies: a rich and nutty chocolate panforte reminiscent of traditional ones from Siena, and another Italian treat, almond biscotti. By the end of the workshop you will have two irresistible edible gifts to take home with you, nicely wrapped in cellophane and ribbon with creative tags we’ll get crafty making together, plus you'll have learned the skills to recreate these recipes at home.
Both treats last a long time at room temperature which makes them perfect gifts for you to make in advance to give your friends and family this holiday season.
This workshop is for you if:
1) you are keen to make your own edible gifts. These gifts are perfect for Christmas presents! And we'll have fun making creative labels with bespoke stamps we have (pohutukawa, a cute honey bee, Savour logos), and festive twine and cellophane
2) you'd like to learn new baking recipes that are festive, adaptable, and easy to replicate at home.
3) you've been craving getting creative and crafty in the kitchen and want to make special gifts for your loved ones this holiday season
4) you enjoy a small group setting where we'll cook together in a small group, then we'll sip herbal tea from our edible gardens, gathered around the big coffee table making creative labels
